Fraser Island

fraser island

Fraser Island is the world's largest sand island. It is known for its beautiful white beaches, colored sands, and rainforest with over 100 fresh water lakes. There are over 900 different plant species and over 350 animal species, including the famous dingo, which is the purest strain on Australians eastern seaboard. Fraser Island was World Heritage listed in 1992, and it is a natural wonder. The following are some pics we took during our 2 day stay on the island. I was absolutely amazed by how beautiful this place was, and how everything could be so clean and natural in this day and age. Fraser was a definite highlight of my travels through Australia.
