Darwin
Darwin is the capital of the Northern Territory of Australia. In Darwin there is a mix of all kinds of people and cultures and this is also where the sun shines very harshly during the dry season. It is also a main gateway to many southeast Asian countries, as the Indonesian coast line is almost within sight of Darwin. We flew to Darwin from Melbourne so we could explore some of the outback in the northern territory. We rented a Jeep and did some site seeing at Litchfield National Park. We did some swimming in the freshwater pools, saw some waterfalls, termite mounts, and explored as much of the outback as we could without running out of gas. The swimming holes were great, and we had a lot of fun. The town was great and the locals were very funny. I really liked Darwin. I had heard from fellow travellers that you either hate Darwin or love it, and I loved it. I would definitely come back here again. Click to see more.... |
