Cape Tribulation
Cape Tribulation is one of the few places in Australia where the rainforest runs right down to the water. The Wet Tropical Rainforests here are protected by World Heritage. You can also see the great barrier reef from here as well. The beaches are absolutely beautiful, and with the rainforest, it just makes it all the more amazing. After a 2 1/2 hour drive from Cairns we spent the night in PK's Jungle Village hostel in the heart of the jungle. It was great being able to walk to the ocean from our little place in the rainforest. It even rained that night. I loved this place. The following are some pictures we took of some beaches on the way there, as well as when we were there. Click to see more.... |
