Cape Reinga

Took a day trip with Awesome Adventures to Cape Reinga. Cape Reinga is located on the tip of the North Island and is considered a sacred place for the Maori. They believe when you die, your spirit comes to Cape Reinga. I can see why. Cape Reinga is also where the Pacific Ocean and the Tasman Sea meet. You feel like you are on the edge of the world up here. The views are unlike anything I have ever seen before. If you ever are in Paihia, take a day trip up to Cape Reinga, it is definitely worth it. The drive up there is also very nice, with great views of the countryside, with lots of farms, and wildlife. It was pretty neat to see wild turkeys and even a peacock crossing the road. We even went sand duning which was really fun, although the walk up the hill was a killer. Well worth it.
