Bungee Jumping in Queenstown

Bungee

Bungee Jumping was something I never really wanted to do, until this trip. Watching all those videos, I thought those people were crazy. Why jump off a perfectly good bridge? After a little while, I thought, well... why not? It's such an exhilarating feeling to do something you are absolutely scared of doing in the first place. I tried not to think about it too much, and just did it. I figured I might as well jump from the the highest point if I was even going to do it at all. The NEVIS was 134 meters, or 440 feet and the highest jump in Queenstown at the time. It was scary but the high was amazing! I've never felt anything like it. The hardest part for me was getting myself to actually jump. It feels so unnatural, like I was jumping to my death. However, I am so very glad I did it. It was an amazing feeling....and a great experience. AND I highly, highly, recommend it!

The bungee pod was located in the middle of this canyon, hanging on a cable wire. We were shuttled out there on a trolley in groups before we jumped.
